Free public meeting rooms are available in all Scott County libraries. Events held in these rooms must be free and open to the public. Most libraries have study rooms suitable for one or two people available on a first come, first served basis.
Here's what you need to know:
- Meeting room use may not interfere with the normal functions of the library.
- Meeting rooms can be used during library closed hours in Belle Plaine, Elko New Market, Jordan, New Prague and Shakopee. You will need to check out a key with your library card if using a room outside of normal library hours - instructions will be sent with your confirmation.
- Food and non-alcoholic beverages are allowed in the rooms, though you must clean up when you are finished.
- No audio/visual equipment is available in the rooms or for checkout.
- For more information, review our full meeting room policy.
