Meet historical fiction author Kristin Harmel as she discusses her work, including The Book of Lost Names, The Winemaker’s Wife, and The Room on Rue Amelie – all of which look back to the past, during World War II. Her most recent work, The Forest of Vanishing Stars (2022) has been described as, “an evocative coming-of-age World War II story about a young woman who uses her knowledge of the wilderness to help Jewish refugees escape the Nazis—until a secret from her past threatens everything” by People magazine.
