Fall Birding for Everyone - REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Fall Birding for Everyone - REGISTRATION REQUIRED

Discover how easy it is to get started or to get better at birdwatching (often called just birding). Learn how to ID local birds, set up a bird feeding station and connect with the metro birding community. You’ll also hear about easy community science projects you can do that help support bird conservation - some as easy as drinking coffee or watching birds out your window.

Amy Simso Dean has been birding for over 25 years. She is vice chair of Audubon Chapter of Minneapolis and works part time at The Raptor Center. She co-founded The Kestrels, an inclusive birding club for women, and founded MYBirdClub, a birdwatching club for kids. As much as she enjoys observing birds, she really loves getting people excited about birds and birding.

This will be an in-person program and will be held indoors in the library meeting room:

  • Participants must be free of COVID-19 symptoms - review symptoms HERE. Unvaccinated individuals are strongly encouraged to wear masks in Scott County buildings, including libraries.
