Create by Mail: Old-Fashioned Play
For ages 3-8 with help from an adult. Create two play activities that kids in the past commonly played with:
- Living cards: greeting cards you'll design with holes in them, allowing you to draw tiny faces on your fingers and stick them through the holes to be the "head" of the picture.
- Transformation books: basically flip books that allowed you to match different heads with different bodies.
On the class date we'll mail you all the supplies needed for the project and printed instructions.
Funded by the Minnesota Arts & Cultural Heritage (Legacy) Amendment through the Metropolitan Library Service Agency (MELSA).
Limited to families in the Scott County Library service area.
