100 Gifts Poem Project - for Adults!

100 Gifts Poem Project - for Adults!

For ages 19 & up; registration required and begins 7/16.  Give a gift to yourself or someone you love with Scott County Library's 100 Gifts Poem Project! Local poet Molly VanAvery will create poems for 100 kids, teens, & adults in Scott County - sign up to be one of the lucky recipients! Watch Molly's one-minute introductory video here.

How it works: register below. On the event date we'll email you an online form to fill out with questions to choose from like "What are you going through right now? What is it like to be you? What is bringing you joy? What are you struggling with?". Then the library will forward the answers and your age and first name to Molly, she will create a poem especially for you or your recipient, type it out on her vintage typewriter, and mail it back to the library. We'll mail the finished poem to you after scanning it so we can share the finished poems. (Note: limited to people in the Scott County Library service area.)

Molly will create poems for Kids, Teens, & Families too! Sign up HERE no later than 8/13.

At the end of summer, we'll share a Poem Launch video of Molly reading some of the poems (with permission, of course).

Who is Molly VanAvery? We were so excited to have Molly and her Poetry Mobile at our library this summer, but when we had to cancel, we worked with her to create this amazing at-home alternative!
