Toddler/Preschool Early Literacy Class at Prior Lake Library
Children and their parents/caregivers are welcome to join us for our FREE and FUN story- and play-based early literacy classes that use the five important early literacy practices of "Talking, Singing, Reading, Writing & Playing".
Best for ages 18 months - 5-year-olds. Siblings are welcome at the toddler/preschool classes. Connect with other parents while your child(ren) play with tactile activities tied to the weekly class theme.

- 2/9 - Snow and Silly Socks
- 2/16 - No class - President's Day

- 3/16 - Wild and Wooly Llamas
- 3/30 - Spring Break Party
- 4/6 - Hop Around
- 4/13 - Yellow Sun, Moon, and Stars
- 4/20 - Zebras, Horses, and Unicorns
- 5/4 - Colors
- 5/11 - Construction
- 5/18 - Summer Celebration
Looking for classes for other ages? We also have Baby Lap Sit classes on Thursdays at 10:30 am.
Storytimes led by library staff trained in the Every Child Ready to Read curriculum are “early literacy classes" - all the fun and learning of storytime, but with tips and guidance on easy ways to help your child develop pre-reading skills.
