Hands On! - Mini-Materia Medica: Botanical Art and Herbal Medicine
A materia medica is a visual and verbal description of a plant and its medicinal uses. Throughout human history, plants--including those we call weeds-- have been our allies, providing us with food, fiber and healing. Work with artist/herbalist Laurie Witzkowski and get to know the "lowly" dandelion by creating its portrait in watercolor, and learn some of their many gifts to us. Registration required.
