Preschool Early Literacy Class at Prior Lake Library

Preschool Early Literacy Class at Prior Lake Library

Children and their parents/caregivers are welcome to join us for our FREE and FUN story- and play-based early literacy classes that use the five important early literacy practices of "Talking, Singing, Reading, Writing & Playing".

Storytimes led by library staff trained in the Every Child Ready to Read curriculum are “early literacy classes" - all the fun and learning of storytime, but with tips and guidance on easy ways to help your child develop pre-reading skills.

New for 2024!

* Prior Lake Library will offer three early literacy classes each week, aimed at three age groups:

Tuesdays @ 10:30 am - Preschool class - Best for ages 3-6

Thursdays @ 10:00 am - Baby lap sit class - Best for ages 0-18 months only, please, for babies' safety on the rug
